Penticton, B.C., January 30, 2017 –velofix has been announced as the official Mobile Bike Shop of ITU
Multisport World Championships Festival Penticton 2017. The 10-day event, to be held in August 2017 will
see athletes compete in six separate World Championships: sprint duathlon, standard duathlon, aquathlon,
cross triathlon, aquabike and the coveted global title for long-distance triathlon.
“We are tremendously excited about the addition of velofix to our lineup for ITU Multisport World
Championships Festival,” said Michael Brown, Executive Director, Penticton 2017. “Athletes can be

The international significance of Penticton 2017 means the region will welcome up to 7,000 athletes,
spectators, media and members of the global triathlon family.
The five world championship races were previously hosted in separate cities on different dates; however,
the International Triathlon Union – the sport’s governing body – has brought all disciplines into a single
venue to create a more exciting event. Additionally, the World Championship event Aquabike will be
contested for the first time next August.
