South Florida

Welcome to South Florida

Although relatively flat, South Florida is renowned for its super-fast year round warm weather road rides and super technical trails. Since you can ride year round, trails are extremely well cared for.

There are no less than five 7+ mile trails within 45 minutes of the Velofix South Florida world headquarters with some of the most technically challenging man made switchbacks, steep tricky climbs, and log-overs you can imagine.

South Florida also has 100’s of miles of levee and dirt road riding all through the Everglades. In the spring we play host to the Louis Garneau pro cycling team for some early season training, and they can be seen jumping in on regular local group rides.

Trenton

Trenton has been in “The Biz” for almost 20 years now. He started racing bikes in college at Florida State University, doing everything from trial competitions to cross country to road racing with the Florida State Cycling Team. This is also where he cut his teeth in bike shops. After school he moved to Avon, Colorado where he worked at a bike and ski shop for 2 years. Upon moving back to Florida, he became an independent outside sales rep for top bike companies including: Litespeed, Merlin, Quintana Roo, Zipp, Descente, Hawley, Fox, and Oakley. After getting tired of life on the road (the whole west coast of Florida), he took a management job with Bike America in beautiful South Florida for 10 years.

Now he is following his dream of being his own boss and serving South Florida’s cyclists needs right at their home. You can find him in his off time riding the never ending levee’s, numerous trails, and dangling off the back of fast road rides.

Eddie

With the love for the outdoors and sports in his DNA, Eddie was introduced to the cycling world more than 10 years ago. Interested in knowing more about how the two wheeled machine functioned, he began to work on his own bikes, taking them apart, swapping parts and rebuilding them, to which that road lead to 6 years of mechanical and Shop Management experience. Eddie has a background in Multimedia and Web Development with Master Certifications on S-tec and Trek University, and uses his unique attention to detail to dial in anything from single speed cruisers to the highest end road and mountain bikes.

As much as he enjoys working on bikes he takes pleasure in riding both road and mountain bikes at local parks throughout the South Florida levee system and whereever the road takes him. When he is not riding he loves going on walks with his pup Jack, playing soccer, basketball, and volleyball, and going on frequent camping trips with his wife and friends.
