Spring 2016 Launches

The Largest Fleet of Mobile Bike Shops Is Growing

velofix starts 2016 off strong with thirteen new territories preparing to launch before the Spring in markets throughout the United States and Canada.

velofix, North America’s largest fleet of premium mobile bike shops, will be opening markets in the Okanagan, Kitchener/Waterloo/Guelph, and Halton in Canada and Boulder, Denver, Salt Lake City, Park City, St. Louis, San Francisco, Spokane, Rhode Island, Phoenix and Orange County in the United States. The addition of these territories brings the franchise system to forty-one locations across North America.

Along with the launch of these locations, velofix has made recent additions to their team to aid the growth of the business and support owners throughout all stages of their business development. Additions to the team include both a US and Canadian Business Development Manager, a Franchise and Operational Support Manager, and a Marketing and Communication Manager whose primary objective is to provide a great support system for current and future franchisees.

velofix CEO and Co-Founder Chris Guillemet is thrilled about the growth and says, “When we started this business three years ago we knew providing mobile bike repair would be a great idea that would fill a gap in the cycling industry. With the onboarding of these new territories more cyclists can experience the premium service experience velofix promises to deliver to each customer.”

Cycling is at an interesting time in history where the demand for bikes is high, but the ability to have those bikes conveniently and efficiently serviced is a major challenge. velofix helps fix this problem by offering riders convenient mobile service at their home or business ultimately allowing riders to save time and ride more.

velofix offers a unique, premium service where customers to book online, choose their service package, select a time convenient for them, and enjoy a coffee (or two!) while their bike is being repaired by a friendly, certified mechanic.

Founded with a passion for cycling, velofix launched in Vancouver in 2012 by Chris Guillemet, Boris Martin and Davide Xausa, who share a common belief that bicycles can help change the world. In 2014, velofix was featured on the CBC’s Dragons Den, which resulted in significant media coverage, and Jim Treliving coming on board as an investor and advisor. In addition, Charles Chang of Lyra Growth Partners (who recently sold Vega/Sequel Naturals) has joined as an investor. For 2016, velofix will be operating in every major Canadian market, and has plans to expand to a total of 75 franchises across North America.

While the mobile business has grown rapidly there are still many great markets available and interested parties are encouraged to find out more by visiting www.velofix.com.aring to launch before the Spring in markets throughout the United States and Canada.
