Nik Pearce has been involved in the San Francisco bicycle scene since 2005, volunteering his time as a mechanic at a local nonprofit called The Bike Hut when he first moved to the city and believe it or not, was even a part of a fixed gear crew! He started Cykel, a family-owned, boutique-style bicycle shop in 2011 in the Northbeach neighborhood and after six successful years of servicing that community, closed the shop to spend more time with his wife and two beautiful boys. He later served as General Manager at Contrada Bikes before joining the Velofix Bay Area team in April 2018. Nik is very meticulous and has a keen attention to detail when working on all kinds of bicycles, treating them as though they’re his own. His desire to please the customer and deliver expert service is why you’ll love him as much as we do. Nik serves as our GM and Lead Mechanic as well as co-owner.
Hi, I’m Jason, It’s an honor to do this work and support more people to bike more places, more often. Everyday I meet individuals who are exercising their ability to move, heal, care for themselves and share experiences though bicycling. If and when we meet, I’ll strive to meet you where you are, because you are what a bike rider looks like.
