I’m Brad, Owner and Operator of Velofix San Diego East. I’ve been in the industry for 7 years now, working in retail bike stores. I’ve been riding and working on bikes for as long as I can remember, but found it’s my calling about 2013. Now I’m living the dream as a certified Mobile Bicycle Technician. I’m enamored with bikes as a vehicle of change; mentally, physically, spiritually, but in my opinion, the best part is transport by bike. Bicycle commuting is transformative, not only for the reasons you might expect, (health, money savings, green aspect) but for the community. The more people commute by bicycle, the better it is for all of us. Infrastructure gets built, motorists take heed, community as a whole gets stronger and healthier, small businesses see increased traffic. Commuting by bike allows you to take in all that your city has to offer, things you would never see by driving to and fro every day. And you feel already accomplished when you get to work/school/etc. You feel tough as nails riding in the elements and nothing can stop you. I could go on, but I won’t. My background is in hospitality in fine hotels and restaurants, and that premium service attitude and integrity comes standard at Velofix San Diego East.
